Writer, lecturer and broadcaster; Richard Cavendish has been a leading authority on Magic and Witchcraft and is the author of 'The Black Arts', a study of the European tradition of magic.
Educated at Christ's hospital and Brasenose College, Oxford, he has travelled extensively in the United States and the Far East, and is the author of many novels.

Got these when they came out, then replaced them after the housefire. WONDERFUL illustrations, good index. More random articles than I'd like.

The magazines were later re-packaged into a 24 volume set (with the same name).
Some of the articles were also then reproduced to form the Encyclopaedia of Witchcraft and Demonology by Hans Holzer.
