The Sporting News Selects Baseball's 25 Greatest Teams par Lowell Reidenbaugh
An excellent book, which I purchased at a library book sale, published by the Sporting News in 1987, about the best teams of the 20th century. It has some rare photos and statistics of the old-time players and teams, while being heavily focused on the New York teams. For a baseball fanatic (such as I am), it is a treasure trove of facts about all the key players, as well as overviews of each team's spotlighted season.
2232 The Sporting News Selects Baseball's 25 Greatest Pennant Races, by Lowell Reidenbaugh (read 16 Sep 1989) This is a great book. The No. 2 race is the National League race in that glorious year of 1908. No. 16 is the 1938 National League race, and No. 18 is the 1935 National League race. This is a great book.
