Radwa Ashour was born in Cairo, Egypt on May 26, 1946. She received a MA in comparative literature from Cairo University in 1972 and a PhD in African-American literature at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1975. She taught at Ain Shams University, where she became a professor of afficher plus English and comparative literature in 1986 and served as head of the department of English language and literature from 1990 to 1993. During her lifetime, she wrote novels, memoirs, and literary studies. Her first book, The Journey: Memoirs of an Egyptian Student in America, was published in 1983. Her first novel, Warm Stone, was published in 1985. Her other works included Siraaj, Granada, Spectres, Heavier Than Radwa, Blue Lorries, and The Woman from Tantoura. She also worked as a translator from Arabic into English. She died from cancer on November 30, 2014 at the age of 68. (Bowker Author Biography) afficher moins

Siraaj: an Arab tale par Radwa Ashour

Ashour is an Egyptian journalist and this is more a novella than a novel. I was fascinated to see that of 454 reviews on Goodreads, only 16 are in English—the balance are in Arabic. (And none of the English-language reviews strike me as either thoughtful or perceptive, to my surprise.) The book centers on three stories, that of a mother (who is a baker in the household of an absolute sultan ruling a fictional island off the Yemeni coast) her son (who is left behind in Alexandria when his ship sails without him), and the sultan. The story tells not only these tales but also weaves in a colonial theme involving the British that affects all three.… (plus d'informations)

يستضيف التليفزيون احد لواءا الشرطه بوصفه خبيرا في الجماعات الارهابية واذا بحثت في تاريخة وجدت انه كان مسئول عن تعذيب في احد المعتقلات او السجون
لم احك لحازم عن واقعة الفأر في احد السجون في سجن تدمر بسوريا , شاهد زميل ارغم علي ابتلاع فار ميت
وشعارت الطلبة في فرنسا بعد الاضراب ..... كونوا واقعيين اطلبوا المستحيل ... حينما يمتحنوكم باسئلة اجيبهوم باسئلة
حيث عرف فوكو السجن باطلاق قدرة النظام علي التحكم بحرية الشخص ووقته يوما بعد يوم يقرر له متي يصحو , متي يعمل متي يستريح متي يتكلم

رضوي عاشور مميزه جدا باسلوبها , فرواياتها متزنة دائما تجمع شق نفسي واخر جتماعي وشق عاطفي وبالتاكبد لاتنسي الشق التاريخي او السياسي
الرواية تتحدث عن ندي , و"ابو ندي" الاب الذي سجن في المعتقل لخمس سنوات وعن صراعه بعد ذلك وصراعها هي نفسها واصدقائها بعد فتره من الزمن
صراع نفسي ينتهي بانتحار اتنين منهم وتخلي اخرين عن مبادئهم رغم تعصبهم في البداية
وانهتها بفرج , احببت فرج جدا , مميز فرج ومحظوظ… (plus d'informations)

فيت الشعب دا اللي يقدر يمر باكتر من 6 حروب
فين الشعب دا اللي يقدر يستحمل التهجير والقتل وحتي الرفض من كل الشعوب التانية
فين الشعب دا اللي حاسس ان هويته بترووح
اه افتكرت , دي فلسطين تخيلوا فلسطين كدا
اي والله فلسطين كدا
بقالهم عقود في القهر دا ولسه الله اعلم في ايه تاني
الرواية بجد لو عشتها بكل مشاعرك وكيانك اقل حاجه انك ياهتحس برغبة شديدة في البكاء او بغضب شديد جدا
دا تقديري الشخصي
