I enjoyed this biography of Robert Fulton. It’s well written and interesting.

Not one of my favorites from this WWII juvenile series.

"Nancy Dale, Army Nurse" has the standard plot line of the "Fighters for Freedom" books aimed at girls: a young small-town woman joins the military -- in this case, the Army Nurse Corps; she goes through training, solves a mystery or two via the wildest of coincidences, uncovers some spies, and finds a love interest in the end. A description of a party Nancy throws for wounded soldiers will make modern-day readers cringe (Nancy pulls out her confederate flag and the "boys from the Negro camp," who were brought in to sing spirituals, burst enthusiastically into "Dixie", etc.)… (plus d'informations)
