I enjoyed this one! I was caught a little off guard by the cliffhanger ending as I was under the impression this was a standalone, but that's really on me so I'm not going to hold it against the book.

The Characters: The chemistry wasn't exploding off the page but I was absolutely on board for the ride. Kiara was a lovably main character that I had no qualms about routing for. The Hand of Death (name technically hidden for a while in the book so I won't tell it to you here) was also a great brooding love interest/main character. If you are looking for a morally dark love interest, he is probably not for you because even though he is billed as an assassin (and he does kill several people in that role) it come across as more talk than action.

The Plot: I had though I guessed the twist from page 30, and I was close, but I was pleasantly surprised to be off the mark. Overall, fast paced and engaging without standing out too much.

The Atmosphere: A+. I loved the mist and the mystery surrounding it.

The Writing: A wee bit representative at times, but overall inoffensive.

A fantastic fantasy read with just the right mix of magic, mystery and romance. Scenes were well described and the storyline flowed nicely.
I haven’t read the first two books in the series, so jumping in at the finale probably wasn’t one of my better ideas. Will certainly be tracking down the first two books in the trilogy as book three has definitely got my attention and interest.
Highly recommend the book, but it is definitely not a stand-alone, so make sure to read books one and two first.… (plus d'informations)

I didn't realize that this book was part of a series and book 3. Although the book is well written and intriguing I wish I paid more attention that there were more installments to the series before this final one. I would enjoy and understand much more. I liked the authors writing style, character development and romance elements of the story. I will most likely read the other 2 to put together the missing pieces.
