- Courte biographie
- Mary became Queen of Scots in her own right at the age of 6 days (following the death of her father James V) and later was queen consort of France by her marriage to François II. When she was widowed, Mary returned to Scotland in 1561, where she struggled with a fractious aristocracy and deep religious divides.
