This is a WW11 novel written by the son of a Canadian gunner. He did a LOT of research about the war and the planes and life during the war. Kudos for that, as well as writing a thoroughly enjoyable novel. It could have been boring, but was not boring at all.
I especially enjoyed the handwritten letters as well as the photos, which made it so much more personal.
I only gave it four stars, because it was about war. War is not one of my favorite things to read about.
