Pleased with the information

Nice book in the series. Got a reasonable impression of Bolivia. Although one gets the feeling that the authors were a little overwhelmed by some of the blights of life there, I think it sounds like a wonderful adventure. The exotic natural wonders appear to be abstract works of art amidst a hectic, once conquered people.

Powell and (photographer)friend Horn travel world wide and spend 91 days in various locations, eg Oviedo, Savannah, Buenos Aires, Bolivia, Palermo, Sri Lanka, etc. How did Idaho get on this list? Apparently they are lucky enough to have friends in the know. Idaho is a well kept secret.

An underappreciated and largely unknown state, Idaho is for anyone and everyone. This book is not so much a travel guide as a perky exploration of the "wild and sparsely-populated" state that was the last state to be "discovered". Powell is irreverent, engaging and honest. Readers will not be bored at all.

Powell & Horn have done a great job of revealing their diverse adventures - and they are not primarily talking potatoes! Wilderness hikes, hot springs, wildlife, small towns, cities, museums, the bizarre, sports, culture, parks, scenic drives, history, and way more. The book was fun and has whetted my appetite even more for traveling Idaho! Read this as a story of exploration, even if (especially if) you can't visit in person.
