Shauna was out living her life one day when she was captured by the Angel of Vengeance. He tortured her so that she would confess her sins. When she was let go, everyone thought she was crazy. When a new neighbor moved in, Victor, she's attracted to him and thinks that she might be able to start her life over.

Victor is attracted to Shauna, but he's hiding a secret from her. He wants her, but while she be able to let herself go with him?

The story has an interesting premise, and the religious aspect to it gives it a whole other level. I just didn't particularly care for Shauna. I thought she was weak. However, I don't know that I would be any different in that same situation.… (plus d'informations)

wow this book was intense, at first its like nothing but foreplay, then it get deeper involving sex, betrayals, confusion the whole lot. Then the end it was quite different then other books for the most part, but I loved it. I quite enjoyed this book from beginning to end and I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of this series.

Outrageously Sarcastic

This novel was such a kick in the pants! Take a young headstrong British girl with a wicked wit and send her to another dimension where she is now worshipped as a god, then listen to the ongoing monologue in her head as she deals with her new status. Simply hysterical...

Once she meets her fellow god and finds out about the war, then the humor really gets rolling. One of the things that was so wonderful was how Taniya, now the god Amrak goes into the derivatives of words and plays with them to come up with her own vocabulary.

Popper has a fervent imagination, and in the sci-fi vein, there were some amazing ideas here, but the no holds barred, running monologue is the best part of the book. Taniya is literally lol funny. Don't read this book in a room full of people or they will look at you as if you have lost your mind because you will be sitting quietly and then will suddenly burst out laughing. It could be quite embarrassing.

Highly recommended!
