Meticulously researched, this book is a lot of fun. Written in an engaging, conversational style, it nevertheless packs a scientific punch. Pincott manages to disseminate information in a way that's accessible to those of us who don't have PhDs, or even more than a passing interest in science. But she's at her absolute best when she shares personal anecdotes about her pregnancy, her childbirth experience, and the first few months at home with her new baby. I would have happily read another book just about her personal experiences.… (plus d'informations)

Interesting and very well researched. The author covers a lot of ground and as a result does over simplify the topics in some cases, but overall does a good job of capturing and keeping interest. Would have been nice if her focus wasn't so purely socio-evolutionary, - but then i guess this book probably wouldn't have had the same easy answers and mass market appeal.

It was an interesting exploration of human attraction. I enjoyed it but I'm about 20 years older than the target audience- most of the Q&A was skewed toward those who haven't yet bred. A little fluffy, which fact was telegraphed by the purple type throughout. But fun. Worth a look, especially if you're twenty-something.
