Parent Talk Lecture Series presents Dr. JoAnn Deak, author of Girls Will Be Girls. Reception and book signing begins at 7:00pm, with the lecture beginning at 7:30pm. Nationally known author, lecturer and preventive psychologist, Dr. JoAnn Deak will share her insights on raising confident and courageous girls. Based on her acclaimed book, Dr. Deak will describe the emotional and physical challenges faced by girls, and share her insight into what makes girls tick, including the latest male/female brain research. She will provide frameworks to help parents better understand their daughters, and offer new ways in which we can help our girls learn and thrive, starting from an early age.
