Whether you are a Yogi fan, a baseball fan, or a sports historian, you will enjoy this book. It was very detailed (occasionally a little more than I was seeking to know), but overall it provided a wealth of facts I found interesting. I've been a Yogi fan for many years and thought I knew quite a bit of the history of the legend, but this book proved my knowledge was truly minor in what I found fascinating to know. It digs into his personal life as well as his highly acclaimed career. Whether it's details of WWII, his struggle to be noticed and taken seriously by the scouts, or how rapidly he proved his ability and quickly was listed as one of the highest-paid stars in the MLB, everything about the king of the one-liners found it's way into this book. The author blended a life story with facts few fans ever knew about this legend. This book may not be for someone just hoping for a biography, but a true fan will be amazed at the journey of one of the greatest baseball players in the history of the game.… (plus d'informations)

I particularly enjoyed the part of the book describing the back room dealings between MLB management and labour that led to the lockout and cancellation of the 94 World Series. As a lifelong Expos fan, it almost felt like closure.
