Intriguing enough. Not sure if I'll read much of the series.

This series is growing ever more maddening. Nothing ever happens. This book is 90% people sitting around talking about boring stuff. And frankly, I can barely remember who most of these talking heads even are anymore. The only action sequence is the firing of a couple of warning shots before a tactical retreat. And in the midst of all the politics and military maneuvering, the most important thing in the world becomes throwing a school festival???

And yet, because of a single scene about one of the artificial intelligence avatars being commanded to go fishing, I'll be picking up the next volume. When it's cute, it's super cute.… (plus d'informations)

This series is frustrating due to its cast of thousands doing a thousand different things. Despite being lost as to what is going on, I still enjoy the idea of powerful naval vessels commanded by artificial intelligences who appear as young women in cute clothes. There's a metaphor in there somewhere, I'm sure, that justifies why I like looking at the pictures.

This volume ended with a notice that it was the end of Chapter One. With many of the characters descending on a maritime academy in Japan, maybe there is about to be a major switch-up in direction?… (plus d'informations)

The quality of this series increases dramatically whenever it actually focuses on the crew of the 401 -
as happens in this volume - even if some of their battle maneuvers are a bit hard to follow.

Unfortunately, the preview for the next volume threatens, "And what's been happening with everyone else...?!" Nooooooo! Haruna is the only character who is not on the 401 who should ever be allowed steal screen time from the crew.
