A sweet romance story, shadowed by a murderous psychopath, Moving Forward is unputdownable! The twists and turns of the plot kept me fully engrossed for several hours! Fair warning, though , the ending will have you jumping up and yelling "wait! what????" and scrambling to download book 2! Good times:-)

Moving Forward is Emily Pearson's debut novel and what an amazing story she has to tell!

The story is about Ava and her best friend starting over after the horrific death of Ava's parent's-in a new place, where they can escape Ava's past. The first half of the story is a sweet romance between Ava and Seth, love at first sight-two broken people that heal each other with their love. I actually thought that's where the story would lead, and then the twist of not only Ava's past but Seth's as well catching up to them....In a deadly way. This is where not only James the brother you love to hate comes into the picture bringing Ava's nightmares to life, but also Dawson the police officer most affected by Ava's past. I loved the way the author brought in each character, it allowed for each one to be fully developed and made the story very real.

This is an fantastic Suspense/Romance novel and the ending was written as a cliff hanger that makes it clear that Seth and Ava's story is far from over.

I was given an early copy of this book by the author in exchange for my honest review...

Seth thought he had finally got his happy ending only to have it come crashing down around him when Ava disappears...but he refuses to believe it's the end and works through with Dawson and Sterling to unravel the years of secrets and lies that his father created, and finds himself the target of James anger and frustration at having Ava slip through his fingers once again.

Two steps back is a page turning, riveting tale of what secrets and lies does to a happy normal family and how many people truly end up affected by it all. Seth discovers how deeply his father and those around this story were truly affected by one very bad decisions.

As far as a happy ever after, Ava and Seth may have found their way back to each other by the end of this book, but their story as well as the twisted parts that James plays in their lives is far from over. A cliff hanger was definitely added to the end of this book and has me excited to see what the author comes up with next!
