Aeromancist, The Beginning is a prequel novel to the second book of the series. I would suggest not reading this novel if you haven't read the series because I was heavily confused. But, it was extremely great at the same time if you don't care about the back story of the characters.

From my understanding, Lann the main character has some sort of power relating to weather and planes. That is as far as the author goes to explain him to new readers. I never really grasped what he could do, but it seems paranormal in nature. This book is not your typical romance/BDSM read as it seems to have some supernatural/fantasy/paranormal element to it, but that's not the main focus of this book. The main focus is Lann and his relationship with Kat.

The romance side of the novel is fantastic. It is a mix of romance and BDSM, and it's incredible. The relationship slowly develops, it doesn't just happen. The characters are not developed a lot, but this is a very short novella that is just a prequel novella.

I would suggest readers pick up the actual books of the series before reading this. I do plan to pick up the novels of the series so I can further understand this novella.

Overall, it was fantastic! Four out of five stars! I would have liked to understand what Lann's "powers" are, but other than that it hit all the right notes with me.

I enjoyed it very much. I have to admit I had to look a lot of things up due to the fact I've never read a book that was written with South Africa as the location. I was amazed how 'True to Reality' many of the things mentioned are.

Both mc's were interesting and I loved most of the story.
Some very Steamy Adult scenes and a couple of great action scenes.
A very Twisted story.

I hate his mother! She is the personification of Evil!!

This author has been on my watch list forever. I live, love, and breathe dark romance, it is my weakness. So when, I discovered that this author is one of the best, and then I saw this blurb, I was ALL IN. I am mentally kicking myself that I had not read any of her other works now because if it is anything like this then shame on me because I have been missing out.

For Dark romance lovers, this book will check off all the boxes. Cruelty, mind games, mixed signals, not knowing who is friend or foe, second-guessing characters, a female that isn't meek but also isn't stupid, a hero that is both soft and gentle, a bigger game at play and not having all the facts, and secrets galore. I would be remiss if I didn't also bring up the almost lyrical way that this author constructs some of her sentences or the fact that Zoe and Maxime are incredible. The setting in France made my inner French girl want to stand up and scream, c'est fantastique!

I normally hate cliffhangers. I read fast and also a lot of books and therefore trying to keep up or remember what has happened or where I left off is hard. However, in this case, I will not forget where this book ended. It was that intense and pivotal. I am invested now and I really need my answers. Knowing that this is a trilogy is a bit bittersweet, but it is also nice to know that this masterful and amazing book has so much to go because I am not reading to be done with these characters.… (plus d'informations)

The angst in this book is intense. My worst fears of what Maxime was up to in regards to the Italians came true. My heart hurt for Zoe. The author has done a brilliant job in this one building up how badly this betrayal would feel. I felt the betrayal and the angst that Zoe must have felt.

This continues where the first book ended. It doesn't have the action or intense scenes, but rather seemed to concentrate on the web that Maxime has created in order to trap Zoe and as the poor fly, she truly was trapped in its clutches. Until she does something that is sure to set things in a different motion. I anticipate that this will cause the action to be more prevalent in the conclusion, not only for obvious reasons but also because Zoe is no longer waiting to gain the love that she wants from Maxime.

The steamy times were hot, but what I loved the most was the endearing times between these characters which made the betrayal hit home that much harder. I need September to get here so I can finally have the answers that I seek because I am still lost in what is going on and just how Damian plays into this whole concocted scheme that Maxime and his family have going on and just how Zoe was supposed to be the tilting factor towards what they want and hope to gain.
