Prequel to Drusilla Thorne Mysteries. Ghosts are fun. Ghosts are easy to deal with. Ghosts aren't real. Reality is where the trouble starts.

This was an okay mystery but in the back of my mind I was waiting for answers for the characters, why they are who the are, the timeline didn't fit some of the clues for Drusilla and her sister to be on the run. Drusilla can't read but she was seventeen (by the timeline) when they went on the run and she was from wealth. These are a few of the questions that held me back from getting involved with the characters.… (plus d'informations)

It was just, okay. I did not feel an affinity to the main characters at all. It was just a story.

3 of 75 for 2015. Drusilla Thorne is not a private eye, but she's very much the hard-edged character you expect to find in a classic detective story. Diane Patterson has created a character who lives on the fringe, even though she grew up in the very lap of luxury. Taking care of her half-sister who objects to blasphemy, Drusilla has become adept at using Greek mythology for her curses, which only adds to the fun. Light and frivolous, yes, but a good read none-the-less. I look forward to reading more about Drusilla and her adventures.… (plus d'informations)
