I truly enjoyed reading about the many different types of Canadian celebrations, and the suggestions for activities, crafts and the like are both ingenious and fun. This is definitely a book for older children, or for parents to share with their children, and more of a reference or information guide than a book to be read straight through. Unfortunately, due to the fact that this book was published in 1987, many of the addresses and contact numbers listed are likely woefully out-of-date (time for an updated version, perhaps).… (plus d'informations)

The poems in this book truly make your belly laugh and I would recommend this book because it is fun to read poems that make you laugh! I believe reading poetry helps the reader with being about to read more stories with harder context. Poems offer rhythm and rhyme and repetitive verses and as the reader develops the ability to understand and predict the poetry, they strengthen their reading ability. I would greatly recommend this poetry book!

This is a book of poetry.
(Winter signs) Doing a whole theme on winter, the poem would give a descriptive look of what your body feels like in cold weather conditions.
Any grade from 4K (PreK) to 3rd could easily use this as a seasonal theme.
