Another favourite from my youth and the Scholastic Book fair is The Wedding Planner's Daughter. This is yet another book I had NO idea was a series and am now super sad I didn't get to pick up the entire series as a kid!

Willa is a 12 year old nerdy girl who is trying to help her Mom (a wedding planner) get hooked up and married with her English teacher. But disaster strikes, and this may not work out as well as Willa planned. Will it all work out?

This book is ridiculously cute and horribly addicting. I found it super quick to read and super fun. It's a relaxing book for sure. While the book is designed for middle graders, this book could easily be enjoy by an adult who just wants a fast, fun yet simple read. It's delightful!

Three out of five stars.

It's hard to believe that I actually read two books in a series back in my youth. Seriously, my school was notorious for getting just one book in the series, and not necessarily the first one. But, lucky me grab book one and book two at the book fair, so I was a happy, little camper. Maybe not now though, because there's more than just two books in this super sweet series!

This middle grade, romance novel welcomes Willa back into her shenanigans. This chick, who I relate to WAY too much, has to save the library! There's an intriguing romance match that her best friend swears by... will she get her super cute crush Joey?! Hopefully Cupid strikes with his arrow.... Raising money for the library and her romantic chase will truly make this book a spectacular read.

I really enjoy this series! As an adult, it's much more of a nostalgia read for me than an actual book I would have picked up. It's definitely a middle grade novel but I can easily see parents enjoying this along with their kids. It's very sweet and quick to read. It's the type of book I ate up as a kid - it's fast paced, has a kooky adventure and has a pinch of romance! Plus, weddings were my obsession as a kid. I was a closeted girly girl, what can I say?

Overall, I love this series! I really hope I can get the remainder somehow as an adult, because I only ever managed to find the first two.

Four out of five stars.

Sort of creative... except it was repetitive. Children if a certain age will like it.
