ANAX: The Order Series par Keren Ouliel
Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing.
I was provided an early reviewers copy of this book from Library Thing. I found it really hard to get through. While there were some enjoyable aspects of the story, the overwhelming need to edit made it difficult to enjoy. This book also didn't deliver something new to the conspiracy-type genre.

This story follows Nora, who I had a really hard time with as a main character. I felt like she was incapable of making decisions, and I felt like the story dragged a little bit, despite the exciting events: natural disasters, creepy stalkers. I think it was a great idea, but it needed to have been flushed out a little better.

**Won via LibraryThing Early Reviewers**
This is the first in a series called The Order.
This follows a young woman named Nora who works at a restaurant and is a part-time environmental journalist. She is thrust into a strange situation one day and from there, the story goes on a bit of a ramble. There are stalkers, strange natural disasters, and a creepy dude.
There's a lot of time spent with Nora going back and forth internally and vacillating about a job offer the creepy dude gives her with her roomies. Honestly, I got bored with her constant inability to make decisions.
There's a moment when "A" secret society is introduced and you think it's the one you're supposed to root for and then there's a bit of a twist to it? I'm still slightly confused. Perhaps I misread a scene or something.
There are a few random things thrown in too, don't want to spoil too much, especially with knowing this is supposed to be the first of a series and may in fact be setting up everything.
Only a few minor errors here and there. I'm not so interested that I have to keep reading this series; it'll be more of an "if I happen upon it" read.
**All thoughts and opinions are my own. The publisher asked for an honest review in exchange for a copy of this book.**… (plus d'informations)

Well written story that looks to be forming a strong basis for the series. The story follows the adventures of an ordinary young woman who, of course, turns out to be anything other than ordinary. The plot twists and turns as she struggle to know who to trust. Nothing is quite as it seems as she tries to discover her true identity. An enjoyable read. Thank you to LibraryThing early reviewers program for the opportunity to read this intriguing fantasy novel.
