I am about half way through it and this book is fabulous! I am understanding so much more about events that happened when I was a kid. These were three amazing people. We have them to thank for the fact that we still have some freedoms in this country. They put a screeching halt to communism and communist thought, the world over, for a decade...unfortunately we allowed it to come back.

Now I know why they stood for what they did. They are SO inspiring. We need three more just like them.… (plus d'informations)

Absolutely great read on what each of these three giant figures in history did to bring down communism. I was particularly struck about the Pope's side. It was mostly new stuff to me and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

For a gen-Xer like me, this was an interesting recap of the events that I mostly ignored during my childhood. I did feel that the book skipped around a bit too much chronologically. It generally flows from pre-election to post-communism, but there were times when it would skip backward a dozen years between two paragraphs. I found myself double-checking the dates multiple times.
