Joseph R. Oppong

Joseph R. Oppong is professor of geography at the University of North Texas in Denton. He has taught medical geography and sub-Saharan Africa geography for 20 years. A native of Ghana, DR. oppong's research focuses on the geography of diseases and health services, such as the geography of HIV/AIDS afficher plus and tuberculosis in Texas and in Africa. He has served as chair to the Medical Geography Specialty Group and to the Africa Specialty Group of the Association of American Geographers. Charles F. Gritzner is Distinguished Professor of Geography at South Dakota State University in Brookings. He has served as both president and executive director of the National Council for Geographic Education and has received the council's highest honor, the George J. Miller Award for Distinguished Service to Geographic Education, as well as honors from the NCGE, Association of American Geographers, and other organizations. afficher moins
