Excellent exploration of the interaction between ancient Rome and Gaul. Omrani bolsters the historical account with his own travelogue of Gallo-Roman remains in modern France; this personal, peripatetic approach is frequently witty and cuts through any potential dryness. Highly recommended.

Asia Overland: Tales of Travel on the Trans-Siberian… par Bijan Omrani

Other than being just a teeny-weeny bit over the top w/ some of the old reports of travel, this book was excellent in all respects. Good armchair reading, good to use as a source for resources, and good to get started planning for a trip.

Afghanistan: A Companion and Guide par Bijan Omrani

A thick heavy book, this is extremely detailed and in depth. Even if you never plan to go here, this is an excellent read to better understand this region and people. With bright glossy pictures and lots of prose, you will get your money's worth. I recommend.
