In this wonderfully touching book, Rosemary Norwalk writes about how she and other Red Cross volunteers aided soliders in the WWII efforts. Dearest Ones is a collection of letters and journal entries made by the author about the war. Some of the neatest entries included the secret codes about how to order supplies (i.e. doughnuts, coffee, etc.) for the troops. From this book you'll capture the spirit and evervescence of these Red Cross volunteers.
