Julia Noonan uses rhymes and comparisons to tell this story. A girl has a well loved doll named Nellie. She lists all the good things about Nellie in rhymes. On her birthday she receives a new and fancier doll. She lists all the good things that she can do with the new doll the same way she did with Nellie. This book would be good for young children. The words are simple and there are not many on the page. Because the story is one children are familiar with, it is a good book to help children begin furthering their ability to read by providing them with a familiar story that has illustrations they can enjoy. Any one can enjoy the pictures in this book because they are full or color and are incredibly artistic. The pictures tell most of the story while the words are just there to help supplement them and help children both young and older enjoy the story.… (plus d'informations)

This book takes the familiar song and poem and turns it into a wonderful children's story. It makes such a tiny part of our world seem extremely significant. Young readers would enjoy that they already know the words and can follow along with the pictures.

word twist on the original twinkle twinkle little star. Kids are generally familiar with the original version so this is a good change up. Cute story in regards to the winter time. Aludes to christmas so be careful with ethnicity. 2-4
