This is the updated version of the original paddling guide to texas rivers. It is outstanding, very detailed, has a checklist of likely gear to bring, even a fish guide and fishing tips. There is a short section on canoe styles and paddles. The core of the book however, is still the river section maps and descriptions which are very good. There are a number of black and white photos sprinkled throughout of rivers and people canoeing and fishing.
