This was alright. It started off strong but got steadily more preachy which was annoying.

I liked Bayley and her attitude to life. I liked that she was all about trying new things and making bold choices. I mean I wouldn't paint all the rooms in my house rainbow colours, but I liked the thought of it. I liked Bayley's job as the director of Hope House - a safe haven for abused women - and her dedication to ensuring the women's safety and happiness.

Cruse was alright. Spent a bit too much time beating himself up about not being good enough, but otherwise was okay. The main thing that annoyed me about him was the spelling of his name - why not Cruise or Cruze or Cruz. I don't know - pretty much anything other than Cruse.

The romance was pretty non-existent but they did build a friendship, sharing their pasts and that. I would've liked to see them spend more time with Sailor (Cruse's sister) or the rest of their friends/church group.

The plot moved along at a good speed. I have read a lot of stalker books with a cop next door neighbour - particularly with the living on a beach, but I felt this was sufficiently different in being fleshed out more and providing greater character depth. Perhaps also different because of the lack of romance and sex than some of the other books have had.

The mystery was interesting and the culprit was sufficiently hard to guess. Decently written, 3 stars.

Love Inspired is always good, but I particularly enjoyed this one. The characters are interesting, and the premise creates the suspense that makes the story. Tyler’s family adds another angle that gets deeper with the other books in the series. This is a good, quick read, just right for an evening of totally enjoyable reading since you won’t want to put it down.

This is two short stories in one small book. Both are romantic suspense stories set around the holidays. In Yuletide Sanctuary you have Sean Matthews trying to keep Lauren Curtis safe from an attacker who is out for vengence. This one was a good short suspense story that even though you know the outcome, you aren't sure how or when it will happen.

In Christmas Target you might remember some of the characters if you have read any of the Emerald Coast series. Police officer Maria Fuentes finds herself the "prize" in a dating contest she did not enter (but her buddies on the force did as a joke). Now she finds herself spending a weekend with a weatherman, Ben Storm, who is in danger and his "date" is the only one he can trust.

Both stories were well written and I enjoyed the suspense in each one. A quick but enjoyable read!

In The Baby's Bodyguard deals with a tough subject of women and children trafficing. It is a emotional book when you know so much of it still happens.
But I did enjoy routing for Ethan and Kelsey and booing the bad guys.
Two years ago Ethan was undercover on women trafficing when is son and wife were killed. Now someone is using his son picture to get him to rescue a little girl they named Jane. Jane was all alone on a boat and her GPS was sent to Ethan to check and see about his son.
Kelsey his the social worker who meets Ethan at the dock to take care of Jane. They don't have any free foster parents so Kelsey keeps Jane with her. Jane has major health problems but before they can be taken care of someone breaks into Kelsey apartment and tries to kill them. Kelsey makes it a few blocks away to where Ethan boat is.
So who is Jane? Why was Ethan wife and son killed? Who is texting Ethan about his son? Who is trying to kill Jane & Kelsey?
Its a good suspense story. I think Jane and Nolan are cute Would like to see a story about Nolan. Would read more books by Stephanie Newton based on this book.
I was given this ebook in exchange for honest review.
