Very informative [albeit brief] historical overview of SAS (UK) activities in period after Falklands War.
Author touches base on all conflicts where SAS participated - from Gulf War in 1990's, Sierra Leone in 2000, expansion of special operations to cover additional forces and finally wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and level of cooperation between SAS (UK) and US counterparts.
Recommended to all military historians.

In spite of its title, this isn't a macho stories book or an encyclopedia but rather a well written narrative discussing the weapons used by western special forces. The book is broken down in chapters about each class of weapon. Included are histories of the weapon class prior to the time period of the title, discussions of procurement, tactics and techniques. There are also sections on each of the individual major weapons as well as a look at future trends. The book is well illustrated with many color photographs.… (plus d'informations)
Good overview of a mission gone horribly wrong due to poor communication, inter departmental fighting and jealousy. Artwork is top notch.
