Critiques

Book 5 in the series, the story works as a standalone. Following the rest of the series, the crime is revealed to the readers before Scott takes on the case from start to finish. The book focuses more on Scott and the investigation with a few chapters switching to an alternative perspective so readers gain an overall view of the story.

The story is gripping and gritting. The third in the DI Scott Baker series, but the book works as a standalone. The murder mystery switches between the crimes, bullying, and investigation, all leading to the ultimate twist that can be guessed with a specific clue in the story. The story is descriptive, and easy to follow.

Book 4 in the series, the story works as a standalone. Following the rest of the series, the crime is revealed to the readers before Scott takes on the case from start to finish. In between, the chapters switch between the criminal and the investigation until they meet. The story is gripping and doesn't stop, the short chapters pushing the narrative forward.
