If memory serves, Rebel first appeared as a serial in the pages of Marvel's "Epic Illustrated" magazine, a great publication in its heyday. Rebel is goofy fun, with the emphasis on cool designs for uniforms, weapons and (above all) vehicles. It's no wonder that Moreno later graduated to designing video games based on the same themes. Interestingly, the plot ends with the destruction of one of twin towers of the World Trade Center in NYC - a curious premonition that gains added significance in a post-apocalyptic tale written long before the advent of Al-Qaeda.… (plus d'informations)

An interesting, if gimmicky Batman graphic novel set late in the 21st century, where the entire world is wired and unknowingly controlled by the Joker, until James Gordon discovers in the historical files a mythical figure who can help him in his fight. The gimmickry is distracting at times, but all in all, a decent story, entirely computer generated (this, too is distracting).
