The Secret Sea par Thomas F. Monteleone
So, spoilers aside, as it is mentioned on the front cover, this book is essentially a not-too-short prologue that sets up a ham-handed scifi mechanism to get the main protagonist onto Nemo's Nautilus, which is not fictional, but real from a parallel world type tying. Which is somewhat interesting, until it becomes apparent that the book is going to go no further and the rest of the story is essentially 20,000 Leagues fan fiction. It is decently written and mildly entertaining, but nothing more.
