Charles Mink

YA novel about a musical family with twin prodigies, Skeezix and Sheila. When the hurricane hits, the family is in Moore Haven. Sheila gets swept away into the Everglades and is rescued by Seminoles. Family is obsessed with finding her and ultimately succeeds after she spends enough time in the Everglades to transcribe the Seminoles songs. Along the way, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Duke Ellington, Al Capone and Charles Lindbergh all make appearances.
