This book is awesome. I have always loved bats and have even been out as part of a bat survey before. This book made me appreciate bats even more though. Yes, this book is geared towards kids, but anyone can learn lots of great information in a fun and colorful way by giving it a read. The cover and the fact that it was all about bats really drew me in and I was happy to see that this great illustration continued on each page. All of the information is broken up and given alongside the illustrations, which I think makes it easier to learn and remember.

Some of my favorite bat facts I learned from this book are:
1.There are over 1,300 species of bats.
2.The biggest bat, the Giant Golden-Crowned Flying Fox has a wingspan of more than 5ft (150cm).
3.The Bumblebee Bat is about the size of a large bumblebee and weighs no more than 1/10th oz. (2g).
4.Bats can’t launch off into flight like birds do, so instead they climb to a high point, hang upside down, and fall into flight.
5. Bats are important in so many ways: they pollinate more than 500 types of plants, disperse seeds (which also helps with reforestation), eat insects that could damage our crops, and in doing these things help to balance out ecosystems and provide important food and shelter sources for other animals, including us!

I would highly recommend this book for any bat lovers, people who want to know more about bats, or people who aren’t aware of all the important things bats do. One of the reasons I like this book is because of how approachable the author makes the information. I love how the pages are designed with all of the pictures, charts, diagrams, and text bubbles. The illustrations were clear and the diagrams made the information fun to learn. However, occasionally, the pages were a little too full with information, which made it a little overwhelming to read. I also liked how the book was illustrated rather than using actual photos. Overall, the message of learning why bees are so important and how they impact our environment came across very well throughout the book. My partner and I are huge bat fans, and I think this book will help ensure our daughter becomes one as well. I even learned a few things I didn't know, which is pretty exciting. I loved the illustrations and really enjoyed reading this book. The presentation is great, the different sections are presented logically, and I love that it ends by talking about what the reader can do to help bats. Having a bat box is high on my list of life goals!

This book is about bees, as clearly presented in the title. It is interesting that the whole book looks like a giant "Piktochart" about bees. It introduces many aspects of bees and the relationship between bees and human. I think the book is both for adults and children since the scientific knowledge embedded in this book can teach people no matter how old they are. The whole book use colorful pictures to illustrate.
