For some people, computers are difficult things. Take my grandparents for instance. My grandfather was not what I would call computer savvy, with my grandmother being close behind. Developers and computer manufacturers understand this all too well. So Google came to ask itself one day, how can we tap that demographic? This is how I assume it went down at least, I wasn’t there to witness it. So the culmination of all of that is the Chromebook, a laptop computer that can access the cloud.

This book is published by Que with the author being Michael Miller. Step-by-step, the book takes you through all the features of the Chromebook. It talks about how to watch videos, how to write a paper or report, and a number of other pertinent things. It discusses things that you would want to do with a computer. The book is well-done with plenty of images and instructions to accompany you on your educational journey. My real issue is that this book is really a set of Training Wheels. I am not the targeted audience for My Google Chromebook. I would just poke around with the settings and so on.

The main reason I took this out is that my grandmother has a Chromebook, and it has been acting weird. It tells me that there is no way for the Chromebook to be infected by Spyware or Malware since there is nothing to infect, so there must be something on the Chrome Browser itself. In that sense, I am appreciative of the information provided. I would still like to know why this garbage pops up when she goes to different websites though. At the moment I don’t have the Chromebook in front of me, but this book was still really good.… (plus d'informations)
