This was my carry-over from 2007 - still had 100 pages to go when I fell asleep!
The WWII diaries of an ordinary housewife, this is an interesting book, primarily because she lived in the Midlands, so there's lots of information on Birmingham and Coventry (prompting us to pop to see the Cathedral today after we've been to IKEA) and she reports all the news as (they find out) it happens - not the same as in the history books. Not as emotionally engaging as Nella Last, but a good documentary piece.… (plus d'informations)
