A very interesting book for anybody who has, has had, or intends to have, a dog - possibly even for those who don't fall in any of those categories. It encourages you to think about your attitudes to dogs, what you expect out of the relationship, and what sort of dog will best fit your life. It does not say 'you must train your dog this way' or this is what you must feed your dog', simply wants you to think about why you are doing what you are doing with the dog, and whether or not it is likely to succeed, given the dog, and your personality and views.
