Treasure Hunt Mystery!

Dakota Crumb is good at finding things. Her cousin in Paris has contacted her, begging her to come there and find a rare book. As soon as she arrives, she quickly starts following the clues, which lead to a big surprise.

This is a fun story, and youngsters get to solve a whodunit. There is also an interactive mystery for the reader, too, so both they and Dakota Crumb can follow clues. Expect giggles, and, perhaps, the need for help while trying to figure things out.

Humor and adventure will be had by children who are lucky enough to get this book. This over-sized, hard backed, five-star story will be enjoyed by three- to eight-year-olds. Great illustrations dot the pages. Both you and your child will have a good time while reading this tale together, and I highly recommend it!

Thank you, Candlewick Press, for providing Tickmenot with a book to review. Opinions are my own.

Back in my elementary school days, there weren't many books in our library to read. Honestly, it kind of blew my mind how few books they let us read. It was frustrating. Chicken Soup for the Souls was a series they carried a lot of, but only a select few. So if you wanted to read five different versions of the same book, you go it!

I was intrigued to jump back into this series since I read so much of it as a kid (I liked them, until I had to re-read them 50 times over, you know how it is).

I think this book is super helpful to teach strong values and strong emotions to kids. I did appreciate the black and white illustrations as well - they reminded me of cartoons! Side note: The Sunshine Squad activity is super cute and a great idea!

Overall, this book is a solid read to bring some education to your children's book shelf in a fun way. I enjoyed it!

Four out of five stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Charlesbridge for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
