Perhaps, one of the weaknesses of this book is its silence on the traditions of the Hadith regarding Muhammad's life and teachings and the traditions of pre-Rabbinic, Second-Temple Judaism which served as the context for the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. This work makes no attempt to sell one religion or the other. I know that many Christians have not spent much time reading what used to be known as Red Letter versions of the bible or memorized more than a handful of key quotes of Jesus' words. I suspect that the same is true for the many sects who follow Muhammad. But this book is not about pointing out who knows what about their own, but to point out without bias the similarities and differences in the teaching of each one on so many topics as well as reviewing the life story of each. It is not intended to be read quickly, but to be studied and absorbed. However, I feel that it is best read in hardcover or spiral bound paperback. I have been reading it on a Samsung tablet but that is still awkward and a laptop is not much better, and really, who wants to sit at the PC to read. I feel that this work would benefit each of us and help reduce some misunderstandings.
I requested and received a free ebook copy in a Goodreads Giveaway.
