Kate Messner is the award-winning author of more than two dozen books for kids, including Capture the Flag, Over and Under the Snow, the Marty McGuire series, the Ranger in Time series (2(115), Wake Up Missing, and All the Answers (2015). Kate published Real Revision, her first professional afficher plus development title, with Stenhouse in 2011. A former middle school English teacher, Kate earned National Board Certification in 2006 and is a frequent keynote speaker at conferences for teachers, librarians, and writers. Kate lives with her family on Lake Champlain, where she loves cross-country skiing, swimming, hiking, and reading. I like Claire's character who was previously like a naive girl and couldn't voice what she wanted, her character has grown to be more courageous and can determine what her dreams are. She finally learned something from the competitions. Claire found what she wanted after going through a process that made her anxious and frustrated. It was precisely because of that process that she found the answer she had been looking for all along.
