Found this memoir hard to read for some reason. I did not find this authors mistakes and follies enjoyable.
painful. hope her epiphany supports her growing self-love.
Painfully honest memoir by a woman who's survived eating disorders, drug addictions, and crazy boyfriends. The unflinching details make the read almost too intense sometimes. Wendy Merrill's way of dissecting her beliefs and dysfunctions is right on and she describes even tragic situations with hilarious puns and cleverness. You'd probably race through the book, hoping she can pull herself out of the self-imposed hell.
