The poorhouses of Massachusetts : a cultural and… par Heli Meltsner
A good cultural overview of the history of poverty in Massachusetts and how the physical structures changed in the evolving political responses to pauperism. I only wish the book mentioned more resources related to the location of poorhouse records but admit it was probably beyond the scope the book's intentions.
