As an ex critical care clinician, I found wisdom and workable solutions in this book. Recommend for healthcare and non-healthcare folks alike.

One half because I do not like his voice or narration: his voice is too purposely "soft"... as if I'm being spoken to in a manner that is falsely comforting and the manner of narration, he breaks/pauses in the midst of a sentence as if in writing he were using too many commas. He sounds forced and unnatural.

The man comes from Lakota (father), Trail of Tears (mother) & european heritage. He has spent time (since the 70's) w/ Native Elders learning about the Spiritual aspects of healing & psychology. He speaks about healing from the point of view of our "stories".

There are two discs each comprised of several parts.

Disc One: Introduction; Everything's a story; Circle and community; Our many selves; Four Directions song; Guided practice (Anywhere prayer); The world is a magical place; Guided practice (Finding your Spirit guide); and Guided practice (Heroic journey).

Disc Two: Introduction; Dialogue w/ the spirit of illness; Guided practice (Traveling tot the future); and The story of bluebird and coyote.

I'm sure I would have preferred to have read this, or been in his presence in order to learn more of what he has to teach.
