By far what I liked most about this book was the author's voice. She has a remarkable writing style. Her prose is vivid without being overdone, lush without being repetitive, captivating without being over-the-top. Her dialogue is spot on, too, and she writes men beautifully.

I felt the story lost steam about half-way through, though there were plenty of sexual acrobatics so I guess there was that kind of steam. But the meat of the plot took a backseat to all the sexual escapades, and I started to get a little antsy for a resolution.

The book was probably about a hundred pages longer than it needed to be, and I nearly abandoned it with a hundred pages to go. I'm glad I stuck it out, though, because I liked the ending. It was sweet and made sense in a romantic way -- though again, the suspense suffered from a pat, all too neat and tidy ending. I think I will look for the next book in the series, though. I'm curious to see where the author takes the Steele Street boys. (A-)

This book...I remember trying to read it through several times but in the end putting it down because the story just didnt appeal to me.Also there were some very unpleasant things in it like a mentally challenged girl kept leashed by the villains throne...for certain evil purposes :(((( I cant even..ugh

And of course the female protagonist is a regular Mary Sue. So thank you but no. Ive given you too many chances already.

This was ok but it left me feeling unsatisfied for some reason. I'm not marking it down to 2 stars but it doesn't feel like a full '3' to me (it's just not quite enough to go down to a 2). I'm suspecting it felt a bit 'unfleshed' to me. Irregardless, I think I won't be revisiting this in a hurry

Kid Chronopolus, special ops, has spent the past 7 months on a mission to seek and destroy members of the Conseco Drug Cartel in Colombia. On his return to his home in Panama City he finds his girlfriend has come to see him from Denver, and the Conseco's have come to kill him. He has to get Nikki home to Denver and figure out his next steps in his war on Juan Conseco.

Action, action, action. Romance, sex, romance. Fast read.
