The author provides some history regarding each species with advice on growing and cutting techniques. There are some suggestions for using the flowers in wreaths or bouquets.
Many of the plants may be familiar to the home gardener who may be unaware their amazing history. It’s fascinating how these plants have retained their original beauty and hardiness to have endured over 100 years.
