Opening the Bible par Edgar V McKnight

The author takes the reader on a scenic tour of the Bible, stopping to point out the geography, history, languages and archeology of the Bible. Then, it is into the lecture hall and the other half of the book is spent on how the Bible was formed (Canons) and the various versions of the Bible.
This is a dated book (1967) and new, additional information has emerged regarding the scenic tour, but the information about how the Bible was formed has not changed.
