Courte biographie
Ruby Short McKim published her first pattern series in the Kansas City Star, May 7, 1916. Resuming her career in 1921 after the birth of her three children, she designed needlework patterns for a wide variety of publications, eventually founding the McKim Studios with her husband. McKim's 101 Patchwork Patterns, published in 1931, was one of the earliest quilt pattern anthologies, and is still considered a classic.
