This is the first time I read anything written by Ms. Black. I decided to download it because we’re both members of a very supportive internet site, “Rave Reviews by Nonnie Jules.” Aside from the somewhat passive nature of Ms. Black’s writing, I found her short story “The Hunted” to be a very delightful read [I actually read it three times] as I enjoyed my morning mug of black Hazelnut coffee and jellied toast. If it’s done right, I can see this story becoming a novella.

As you read this short story you’re immediately sucked into it. The manner in which it has been written in creates a mental picture of what’s happening; all the sights, smells, and dialogue. However, all is not as it seems to be and the shocking reality is only revealed in the final sentence.

“The Hunted” I found out, to my pleasure, after reading this short story that it’s actually part of an anthology of short stories written by the author entitled “Long Story Short.” This is definitely going on my LONG TBR list.

Robin Leigh Morgan is the author of “I Kissed a Ghost,” a MG/YA Paranormal romance novel.

A nicely detailed story of a hunted woman living in two worlds, one a dream, the other real. There is great characterization in this short tale. The intensity of the chase, coupled with the relaxed lifestyle of the other world, draw the reader into mystery of this story. The catcher is the ending that comes out of nowhere to give the reader that final-line joy.

McKenna specialises in erotic literature, with a significant fraction of bondage and erotic punishment. This slim volume comprises two of his stories: 'Please Don't Spank Me, Headmistress', and 'Amy's Unusual Problem'. The former concerns a Headmistress brought into a girls' school to cure a disciplinary problem by use of the cane on the bare nether regions of recalcitrant pupils. As is to be expected, some of the girls take the new regime as a challenge, and deliberately flout the Headmistress' authority. They find that she takes her disciplinary duties seriously and enthusiastically, and also that she is inclined to temper her painful punishments with more soothing touches, some involving male members of the school's governing body. Her method works, but some of the girls quickly become enthusiastic participants. In the latter, a girl in her final year before college finds that she has an inherited tendency in the form of seeking frequent erotic relief. She enlists help with this from a neighbour who is of her parents' generation, but they find that the intended 'clinical' nature of the arrangement soon becomes romantic. McKenna writes powerfully and erotically and is a pleasure to read, as well as having an ability to generate novel plots.… (plus d'informations)

USS Letanya is the vessel carrying the first all-female crew of astronauts that NASA has sent into space. As Captain Kathryn Dyson awakes from her cyrosleep, she surveys her four other team members that are on this exploration mission to a new star system. They are under strict guidelines to not interact with any life forms but to just observe. Each women knows the importance of this mission and wants to do their very best.

As they draw nearer to the planet, they are indeed surprised to find in their scanners evidence of a life form, humanoid in appearance but very tall and hairier. The male species sports a loincloth while the females are unadorned...naked. Women are lead around on leashes by the males. Captain Dyson assesses her options and determines that a three-member team should land on the planet and begin the observation of these inhabitants. How much trouble could they possibly get into on a closer look at the primitives?

Nothing seems to go right for the landed team, who is quickly captured by the locals. As things turn worse, Captain Dyson concludes that a second team is desperately needed on the planet. Deciding to send the two remaining members to the planet, NASA overrules Kate and she is forced to send her first mate alone. Now she too is captured.

Tired of always second guessing herself, Kate sets off to rescue her fellow astronauts. The tale that follows shows how resourceful women can be in all types of situations. They use their own talents to adapt and survive. The writer has envisioned a futuristic world filled with explicit sex and great action. A fabulous story of strong sensual women... you should explore this world!
