Cute story about an adventurous mermaid, who works together with her friends to save themselves from trouble. I liked that the mermaid didn't want to sit on a rock making herself pretty. She prefers action and adventure. The whale in the story was drawn to look like an Orca, which is actually a dolphin.
-friendship, persistence, adventure
-If we had it in English, I would recommend it to beginning readers.

Fairy For a Day is part of the Fairy House Series. The series is about a little girl named Katie who leaves her dollhouse in a field behind her house allowing for four season fairies to live there. Earthlings have no idea how important these fairies are to the facilitation of seasons, nor how close they are to peril since the fairies portal, an old oak tree, is about to be destroyed for additional suburban house construction. The fairies can prevent this from happening by finding one of each month’s birth stones. In Fairy for a Day, the mission is to determine when the tree will be bull dozed. To accomplish this Katie has to switch places with Blue Bell the spring fairy; Blue Bell becomes a girl and Katie a fairy. The execution of this switch does not go perfectly, but pertinent information is learned and a birth stone is found. Fans of the Rainbow Magic Series will enjoy the Fairy House Series which has similar elements but a more in depth and continuing plot. The book’s cover feature’s Blue Bell with the 3 dimensional element of her petal skirt. Small drawings are included on most pages within the book. Ages: 6-10.… (plus d'informations)
