"Slip" suffers from having what I think is a good heart and idea, but ultimately just fails to really follow through and leaves the whole story kind of limp. The characters feel very flat and don't have much beyond one or two personality traits/characteristics; the artwork is alright but is visually dry (which is ironic considering art is such a big part of the book); the main themes of the story get really sidetracked by the main character focusing so much on herself and how it affects her that her friend genuinely seems to start to come off as an afterthought.… (plus d'informations)
Very interesting update of Baba Yaga. Excellent illustrations, well written.
