This book is poorly titled; there's nothing dirty or sexy about it, and the most political thing about it is how much of political life isn't the politics we learn about in school.

This book was really funny. Black and McCain compliment each other well and you can tell that they really aren't all that different from each other. I think if more people took the time to talk to one another politics in this country might be better and less partisan.

This book is pretty simple but I expected it to be. As soon as I saw this on the shelf I knew I wanted to read it. I know Meghan McCain from the show The View. She was always my least favorite host. Her views are very different from mine and sometimes I found it hard to watch her. I gained a new perspective after her father John McCain recently passed away. There was so much media going on during his funeral I found myself watching it often. Ill never forget Meghan McCain's speech at her fathers funeral, it brought me to tears. Now I just see a book written by a girl who thinks the world of her dad.… (plus d'informations)

I don't normally read children's books, but I saw this one on a library display and thought it might be interesting to see how a picture book would deal with McCain's complicated life. This book is ostensibly a biography of the senator written by his daughter Meghan during the 2008 presidential election season. There's no mention of McCain's first marriage, or even of Sarah Palin. Instead, the cheerful, repeated message is that McCain "never gives up", whether that's as a prisoner of war, as a senator, or as a presidential candidate. The handsome illustrations make him look like quite the man for the job. Now that McCain has passed away, and the 2008 elections are in the distant political past, I expect that a new picture book will be commissioned as a tribute to this complex man.… (plus d'informations)
