Miha Mazzini

This dark comedy is set in a depressing Slovenian town dominated by a dehumanizing factory. The time frame is the end of Tito's Yugoslavia. The characters are a diverse collection, each more bizarre than the other. The protagonist spends most of time cadging beers from his acquaintances and having sex with a variety of women.

There is nothing profound about the book, but I found it well-written and it painted a portrait of a very dystopian society.
